Kazakh athletes partook in Asian Taekwon-do Championship for first time

Kazakhstan was represented by 12 athletes. 

Kazakh taekwondo athletes took part in the Asian ITF Taekwon-do Championship held in Kuala Lumpur from November 30 to December 2, an official website of the Mayor's Office of Astana reports.  

Kazakh athletes partook in the Asian Taekwon-do Championship for the first time, demonstrating the good results. 

In general, approximately 600 taekwondo athletes from Asia took part in the Championship, including 12 Kazakh athletes.

Two gold medals and the absolute champion of Asia titles were gained by Stepan Anokhin, Talgat Saidalin, Catherine Nurperzentova and 8-year-old Bolat Bibarys, the tournament's youngest participant, each, as well as Arsen Amangeldinov, Aidyn Iskaliyev, Vyacheslav Tsoi, Islam Anuarbek won gold medals each. Zhadyra Onzhanova was the silver winner, and Aibek Igizbayev, Aibek Maulek, Igor Ni - bronze winners.

The Kazakh athletes were trained by international category trainers Yerlan Abenov and Nurlan Abenov.
