Kazakh Foreign Ministry unveiled names of detained citizens in US
If found guilty, they face up to 20-30 years of imprisonment.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan voiced out names of three Kazakhstan’s citizens detained in the USA in cases involving fraud relating to the sale of rare cars,
"Following the receiving this information from American law enforcement agencies, the Consulate General of our country in New York immediately began to provide consular and legal assistance to our detainees. According to data that came from the southern district of New York about the citizens of Kazakhstan, in particular, Aziza Dzhalalova of 1994, Diora Ashirova of 1991, Yelena Kudaibergenova of 1970 are involved in this case, the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed their citizenship of Kazakhstan. We have traditionally supported our citizens,” Kairat Abdrakhmanov, head of the Kazakh foreign ministry stated on the sidelines of the Governmental session.
