Kazakh leader visited museum of rocket and space technology in Astana

Nursultan Nazarbayev got familiarized with an outdoor exposition.

The head of state visited an outdoor exposition of the Museum of Rocket and Space Technology that was built in Kyzylorda region as part of the project of Regions as a gift to Astana, the Akorda reports.

On the territory of the exposition, Nursultan Nazarbayev talked with representatives of the public of Kyzylorda region.

During the visit, the Kazakh President was presented with possibilities of the assembly and testing complex of spacecrafts.

The head of state noted the importance of the space industry for developing science and new technologies.

“At the instruction, together with the French side we have launched an assembly plant of artificial satellites of Earth. In the near future, we will assemble our own satellites. We have our own launch system, and the racket Zenit will be ready by 2022. Thus, our space industry enters a new technological level, and Kazakhstan is becoming a full space power,” said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The Museum is located on the territory of the National Space Centre ‘Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary’. The outdoor exposition of the museum of rocket and space technology gifted on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the capital presents the models of Soyuz, Proton, Zenit launch vehicles, as well as Buran orbiter.
