Kazakh Minister for Investment revealed the regions with increase in investment
The increase is observed in construction, mining and processing industries.
As of today, the largest share of investment is seen in the city of Shymkent, Atyrau and Karaganda regions. It was informed by Minister for Investments and Development of Kazakhstan Zhenis Kassymbek at a session of the government, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
According to the head of the Ministry for Investment and Development, over 9 years of the present year, the total volume of investment in the main capital has risen by 21.6% and made up 7.5 trillion tenges.
"It should be noted that there is the increase in construction, mining and processing industries. As for regions, the biggest share of investment accounts for such regions as Atyrau region, Astana, Almaty. The increase of investment is seen in many regions, of which the top-3 includes the city of Shymkent - 2.8, Atyrau region - 35.6% and Karaganda region - 28.5%. The lowest increase is observed in Almaty and Zhambyl regions, as well as in Turkestan region," said Zhenis Kassymbek.
At the same time, the Minister notes that as of today it is difficult to objectively assess Turkestan region, as the previous base included the city of Shymkent.
The share of private funds in the volume of investment in the main capital has made up 73.1% or 5.5 trillion tenges for 9 months of 2018.
Zhenis Kassymbek mentioned the instruction of the President regarding the creation of a Fund of direct investment that is being developed.
"Following the head of state's instruction, the creation of a Fund of direct investment is being developed. It is supposed that the work of the Fund should be tied to the implementation of target investments and pinpoint investment in the most perspective and demanded sectors and the support to implement large breakthrough projects," said the Minister.
It is noted that the principle of action of funds of direct investment implies the search for prospective projects, the provision of their financing by attracting co-investors.
