Kazakh President congratulated Erdogan on victory in presidential elections

According to the official data, Erdogan received up to 52% of the popular vote.

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev sent a congratulatory letter to Recep Tayyip Erdogan in connection with the election to the post of President of Turkey, BNews.kz reports with reference to the Akorda.

The head of state on behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and in person congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdogan on a landslide victory in the last election of President of Turkey

“The results of the election have demonstrated a high appraisal of the Turkish people of your efforts holding the post of head of state and genuine support of the political and economic reforms held by you, as well as the announced strategic directions of development. I am sure of the traditionally friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey that are based on mutual respect and brotherhood, and will serve for the benefit of the two states, and in the future our strategic partnership will be raised to a qualitatively new level,” says the letter.

In conclusion, the President of Kazakhstan wished Recep Tayyip Erdogan health and success on the responsible post, and well-being and prosperity to the entire brotherly people of Turkey.

Incumbent President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan received the most number of votes in the early presidential elections. According to the Central Election Commission of Turkey, handling 97.7% bulletins Erdogan received absolute majority of votes.  

It was reported that according to the official data, Erdogan announced that he had received 53% of votes, and his main opponent Muharrem Ince – 31%.
