Kazakh President invites Finnish businessmen to work in Kazakhstan
The President of Kazakhstan met with the business community of the Republic of Finland.
The Kazakh head of state noted that Finland was one of the important trade and economic partner of Kazakhstan, and underlined that the relations between the two states were based on friendship and mutual reliance, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
"Over the years of independence, Finland has invested more than 300 million US dollars in our country. Over 100 enterprises with Finland's capital in various spheres have registered in Kazakhstan," said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The Kazakh President noted that Kazakhstan opened new opportunities for effective business running, and underlined that the meeting's task was to update the economic relations and to search new business partners.
"With a view of the effective interaction between investors and businesses, the following national companies such as Kazakh Invest and Kazakh Export were established. The Foreign Investors Council runs chaired by the President. In the implementation of investment projects in such priority sectors as metallurgy, oil refining, machinery, chemistry, food production, investors are exempted to pay corporate, land and property taxes, as well as the order to get licenses and to conclude land contracts is simplified. Foreign workers are also hired without quotas and permits," said the Kazakh President.
Nursultan Nazarbayev told to the present businessmen about the large-scale privatization and the demand among foreign investors, including Finland's ones, taking place in Kazakhstan.
"It was gratifying that we have opened a new rail route from Finland to China through Kazakhstan. Now the transportation in this and return directions is four times less than by sea," said the head of state.
The Kazakh President specially dwelled on the state support to agricultural producers and invited Finish companies to take part in implementing projects in the agro-industrial complex.
"Kazakhstan sets a course towards the accelerated modernization of the economy, the introduction of new technologies and innovations. The Digital Kazakhstan national programme is being realised. Taking into account the experience of Finish companies in this area, it could be a prospective area for our cooperation," said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
In addition, the head of state told about the virtues of the Astana International Financial Centre, as well as the high-technology exchange established within the Centre, and underlined that the partners in implementing this project were the Shanghai Stock Exchange and NASDAQ American stock exchange.
"The AIFC has all opportunities to be a regional centre to develop 'green', Islamic and innovative financial tools. I invite Finish companies to take part in its work," said the President of Kazakhstan.
Following the meeting, Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed confidence that Finish businessmen would make use of all condition s created in Kazakhstan to develop and strengthen the mutually beneficial partnership.
