Kazakh President was reported on crime rate decrease in country
Prosecutor General Kozhamzharov informed President of Kazakhstan on the work held on reforming criminal proceedings.
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev received Prosecutor General Kairat Kozhamzharov, BNews.kz correspondent reports with a reference to Akorda.kz.
At the meeting, the head of state was presented the report on the activity of law enforcement agencies of the country and the implementation of the instructions given.
The Kazakh President noted that the procuratoral authorities have the tasks to conduct supreme oversight over the rights, legal interests of citizens and the implementation of legislation.
"As of today, all measures for ensuring the rule of law are implemented: law enforcement bodies and judicial system are reformed, the relevant laws are adopted, including the protection of business from unjustified inspections. Their quality implementation is necessary," said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The head of state underlined the necessity to continue the work on humanization of the criminal law and said that the number of those detained decreased by 35% in Kazakhstan.
In turn, Kairat Kozhamzharov informed the Kazakshtan President on the work held on reforming criminal proceedings and noted that owing to this activity common crime has decreased by 10 pre cent in the country compared to the previous year.
"The procuratoral bodies conduct the systematic measures to protect the rights and legal interests. Over the six months of the present year, inspections in the field of provision of labour rights, land relations, tariff-related laws were held, following which the rights of more than three milions of citizens were protected and restored," said Kairat Kozhamzharov.
Following the meeting, Nursultan Nazarbayev gave a range of specific instructions.
