Kazakh Secretary of State meets French Ambassador to Kazakhstan
The sides have agreed on further cooperation in the education and culture sphere.
Kazakh Secretary of State Gulshara Abdykalikova has met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Kazakhstan Philippe Martinet, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
"Good relations between Kazakhstan and France have been established. France is our big strategic partner and a reliable friend. You know that France is among the top-10 large economic partners of Kazakhstan. 26 years have passed since the establishment of our cooperation, good relations have been established. This year is remarkable as 10 years passed since the signing of the agreement on strategic cooperation between France and Kazakhstan," said Gulshara Abdykalikova during the meeting in the Akorda.
In her welcome speech, the Secretary of State noted the recent meeting of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev with France President Emmanuel Macron in Brussels. Of note, during the talks, the French leader informed that he would visit our country in 2019.
Gulshara Abdykalikova noted that the interaction in the sphere of education between our states expanded.
"I observe activity in cooperation in humanitarian policy, including the social cluster, education, healthcare and culture. Our artists hold concerts in big sites of Paris. Of course, we have a long history of cooperation in education. There are certain results, as well as joint enterprises operate contributing to our country's economy," said the Secretary of State.
During the talks, an agreement to continue the existing initiatives in education has been reached.
Concluding the meeting, Kazakh Secretary of State Gulshara Abdykalikova wished Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Philippe Martinet great success in further strengthening of the Kazakh-French cooperation.
