Kazakhstan's Ambassador presented credentials to Lithuanian President
The President of Lituania tells she remembers warmly her visit to Kazakhstan in 2011.
Kazakh Ambassador to the Republic of Lithuania Viktor Temirbayev presented credentials to President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
Viktor Temirbayev extended congratulations on behalf of Nursultan Nazarbayev on the occasion of 100 years since the restoration of the Lithuanian State, as well as reaffirmed Astana's commitment to continuing the reliable partnership between the two states and further development of multifaceted cooperation between Kazakhstan and Lithuania.
According to the President of Lithuania, she warmly remembers her visit to Kazakhstan in 2011 and thanked the Kazakh side for the expedition by the Lithuanian youth to Karaganda region in summer 2018.
During the meeting, the sides discussed a range of current issues of bilateral relations and international agenda, as well as emphasized the further realisation of transit and transport potential, noting wider prospects in the field of 'new economy', agriculture, education and medicine.
Grybauskaitė highly praised the role of President Nazarbayev in Kazakhstan's dynamic social and economic transformation and his initiative to strengthen the architecture of global security. She confirmed the commitment of the Lithuanian side to the further enhancement of bilateral cooperation with Kazakhstan in priority spheres of the two states.
