Kazakhstan's companies presented their products at international exhibition in Shanghai
Entrepreneurs from diverse sectors demonstrate their commodities to establish a platform for trade cooperation.
Kazakh entrepreneurs from diverse sectors (industry, agriculture, machinery, tourism, textile and so on) showcase their products at China's Import Exhibition in the city of Shanghai, BNews.kz reports referring to a press service of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan.
Within the exhibition, Kazakhstan's company Paseka and China's Xinjiang Xinhongji International Trading Co signed an agreement to deliver 15 thousand tons of honey to China.
Through the exhibition, Chian opens its markets to the world and invites enterprises from other states to present their commodities to establish a platform for trade cooperation, open new channels for domestic consumption, to obtain mutual benefits and advantages for participating countries.
The import exhibition is held for the first time.
The organizers have attracted around 150 thousand professional buyers from over 100 states. The exhibition includes three parts: the national trade and investment exhibition; the business exhibition and the international trade forum.
The trade turnover between China and Kazakhstan by January 1, 2018, has reached 10 469 million dollars, taking the second place in the overall trade turnover of the country with a share of 13.1%. Following 2017, the trade turnover increased by 32% compared to the past year.
"China occupies the second place around the world in terms of imports and consumption. As of today, China enters a new development stage with an expanding demand for imported products. The exhibition is a unique opportunity for Kazakhstan's exporters to meet Chinese buyers, traders, and trade networks," said representative of the Board of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan A. Yersenov.
The CIIE Exhibition covering the area of 59 acres (240 000 sq.m.) is a new start of the Chinese government to promote a new era of openness and continuous disclosure of the Chinese market to the external world.
