Kazakhstan among top-50 states with the best healthcare systems
Hong Kong ranks first, with Singapore and Spain in the second and third places respectively. Azerbaijan, the USA and Bulgaria are among the last in the rankings.
Kazakhstan is among the top-50 states with the most efficient healthcare systems according to Bloomberg, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
The American Agency of Financial and Economic Data issues yearly rankings of states on the efficiency of their healthcare systems. This year Kazakhstan has climbed one position up.
Three indicators are key to assess the index of the development level of medicine: average life expectancy at birth, state expenses on healthcare as a percentage of GDP per capita, costs of medical services per capita.
Hong Kong tops the rankings, with Singapore and Spain ranking second and third. Azerbaijan, the USA, and Bulgaria take the last places in the rankings.
