Kazakhstan athlete won ‘gold’ in the Paralympics
Skier Aleksandr Kalyadin took the first place in the 1.5 km sprint of a classic style.
The athlete who is from Kostanay left behind Japanese Yoshihiro Nitta, and a bronze medal was won by Canadian Mark Arendz.
The gold medal won by Kolyadin became the first award of the triple nine gold for Kazakhstan at the Winter Paralympic Games.
The 2018 Winter Paralympics is held in the South Korean city of PyeongChang, where the Winter Olympic Games were held. It has started on March 9 and will end on March 18, 2018.
