Kazakhstan biathlon athlete took the 6th place at the Paralympics

Aleksander Gerlits passed the biathlon distance of 12.5 km for 40 minutes 51 seconds.  

Member of the Kazakhstan national team Aleksander Gerlits took the sixth place in the biathlon distance of 12.5 km at Winter Paralympics in PyeongChang, SIA “SPORTINFORM” reports.

Gerlits missed six targets on the firing line and ended the race for 40 minutes and 51 seconds. French Bendjamin Daviet was the first, Ukrainian Igor Reptukh was the second, Canadian Mark Arendz was the third.

Regarding to the pair biathlon sitting, then Sergai Usoltsev took the 11th place.

It was said that in the ski races Aleksander Gerlits took the fourth place that has been the highest achievement for our Paralympic athletes since 1994.
