Kazakhstan combines ancient culture and new techs: Johan Ernst Nilson
Well known Swedish explorer gave an interview to TV and Radio Complex of the Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Swedish explorer also known as "environmental explorer" because of his interest for environment and climate-related issues. Johan Ernst Nilsson shared his impressions of Kazakhstan in an exclusive interview to the Presidential TV and Radio, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
More recently, Johan Nilson became the brand ambassador of the international fund for the rescue of the snow leopard. It should be noted the explorer especially noted that Kazakhstan combines ancient cultures with new technologies and cited the example of EXPO 2017.
Johan Ernst Nilson set a lot of world records. In 1994, he was the first who cycled from Africa to Sweden, in 1996 - repeated the same route already on a kayak, in 2001 - for the third time reached the coast of the continent already on a flying boat. One of the most grandiose of his actions is a journey from the South Pole to the North 35,000 kilometers long without motorized equipment and climbing the Kebnekaise massif (the highest mountain in Sweden and Lapland) with a wheelchair-bound man and voiced out motivational speech spoke at TEDxTalk.
