Kazakhstan develops mobile app and online services for donations
It is planned that the innovation will start to operate in the country in 2018.
In Kazakhstan, in the present year, it is planned to develop a mobile app and to launch an online service for donations. It was said by chairman of the Committee for Religion Affairs Yerkin Onagarayev, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
“In 2018, it is planned to develop a mobile app and to launch an online service (QIWI, Kassa 24 and others) to attract mass donations of individuals (from 100 to 1000 tenge) and to ensure transparency of their spending for charity,” said Yerkin Onagarayev at the press conference on the activity of the Corporate Charitable Fund “Uakyt.”
Also, at the press conference, chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs Yerkin Onagarayev told about the social projects implemented by the Fund.
“The Fund provides the bursary assistance to 305 priests, who live in remote districts and villages and need material support, as well as to religious experts, who work with supporters of destructive movements in correction facilities; 5 students from the families in need received financial support as payment the cost of education in the University of Islamic culture “Nur-Mubarak” for a 2017-2018 academic year. At the 6th session of the Fund’s Board, which was held in March 15, 2018, it was decided to provide the support to other 10 students. From 2017, 173 priests were sent to pass the training courses to study the more qualitative enlightenment activity on preventing religious extremism and radicalism,” said Ongariyev.
As Ongariyev noted, the Fund also took part in the restoration of the burned in February 7, 2018, Orthodox temple of Archangel Michael located in the village of Turgen in Almaty region.
