Kazakhstan holds talks with US to open direct air flights

The Intergovernmental Air Services Agreement’s text is being finalizing that will be signed by the American side in the near future.

The Civil Aviation Committee is finalizing the Air Services Agreement for signature between the Kazakh Government and the U.S. Government on a principle of open sky, BNews.kz correspondent reports.

As they have informed in the Civil Aviation Committee’s press office, on 21 September bilateral talks between the aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and the USA took place in Washington D.C.

The Intergovernmental Air Services Agreement’s text is being finalizing that will be signed by the American side in the near future.

This Agreement will create a legal framework to open direct flights between Kazakhstan and the USA.

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev tasked Kazakh airlines to establish flights to Japan and the USA during an expanded session of the Kazakh Government.
