Kazakhstan hosts CSTO trainings "Unbreakable brotherhood-2017"
From October 16 to October 20, the trainings in the post-conflict settlement with the peacekeeping forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization "Unbreakable brotherhood-2017" will be held in the territory of Kazakhstan (the Iliysky Polygon).
As reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, peacekeeping contingents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, police units that are members of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will participate in the trainings.
"At present, there are peacekeeping contingents from Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, the arrival of the contingent of Kyrgyzstan is expected today, the servicemen crossed the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border on six military vehicles and are moving to the site of the training", the Ministry informed.
Approximately 1,500 officers and peacekeepers from the armed forces, internal forces and police from all CSTO member-states, more than 500 units of aviation, armored and motor vehicles will take part in the trainings. In addition, representatives of the UN Secretariat, the International Committee of the Red Cross and various countries were invited to participate in the trainings.
We note that last year the trainings were held in Belarus.
