Dmitriy Reiherd keeps to be in the second position in the competitions of the World Cup in freestyle.  

Kazakhstani Dmitriy Reiherd won the bronze in the parallel mogul in the World Cup held in Tazawako, Japan, BNews.kz reports.

On the way in the final race, Reiherd won over the less mastered rivals, who competed with him owing to his rating in the competitions.

In the 1/8 finals with a score of 23:12 Reiherd was stronger than an American Emerson Smith, and in the quarterfinal the Kazakhstani won a Norwegian Teve Anderson (24:11).

In the semifinals of the tournament Reiherd struggled against a host of the competitions Ikumo Horishima, who in the hard struggle won over the Kazakhstani mogul athlete with a score of 16:19. As a result, the Japanese athlete became a winner.

In the struggle for the bronze, Reihaard took the victory over Benjamin Cave from France (29:6).

Dmitriy Reihard keeps to be in the second place in the competitions of the World Cup of 2017/18 in freestyle and in mogul.

The competitions in the parallel mogul is held according to the off scheme. The races are held starting from 1/32 finals, then 1/16, 1/8, ¼, and semifinals. Winners of the semifinals take part in the final for the 1st and the 2nd places, and the those who lost struggle for the bronze and the 4th place. The judgement system in the non-Olympic type – the paralleled mogul differs from the system used in the individual mogul.  The races are judged by five or seven judges. At the same time, when the system with five judges are used one judge evaluated jumping, one judge evaluates speed, two ones evaluate turns and other one evaluates the whole race. In the case with seven judges, two judges evaluate jumping, one judge evaluates speed and four ones evaluate turns. Each of them votes from 0 to 5 by comparing the races of the two athletes. The winner is the one who obtains the most number of scores.
