At the final day of the 2018 Olympic Games, Kazakhstan skiers performed in the 30-kilometer marathon.

It is a tradition that marathons end ski race competitions. Yesterday, there was the 50-kilometer classic race among men, where Kazakhstani Aleksey Poltoranin took the 15th place, Vesti.kz reports.

Kazakhstan athletes ended the distance of 30 kilometers classic race (mass start) at the 2018 Olympics. Kazakhstan was represented by Anna Shevchenko, Valeriya Tuleneva and Elena Kolomina.

Kazakhstani Anna Shevchenko with the result of 1:35:36,1 took the 31nd place, Tulenova took the 32nd place with 1:35:38,0, Elena Kolomina took the 33rd place – 1:35:38,4.

Following the result, Marit Bjoergen (Norway) gained “gold” – 1:22:17,6, Krista Parmakoski (Finland) gained “silver” – 1:24:07,1 and Stina Nilsson (Sweden) took “bronze” – 1:24:16,5.

We note Kazakhstan with one bronze medal ranked the 28th in the medal table of the 2018 Olympics. A bronze medal was won by Yuliya Galisheva in freestyle. In the competition among freestylers in mogul, Kazakhstani Yuliya Galisheva showed the seventh result in the first final stage with 75.10.

In addition, renowned Kazakhstani figure skater Denis Ten performed at the Olympics, who was not able to make it out into the arbitrary programme of the Games, thereby he lost the right to perform in the it. Also, figure skater Elizabet Tursynbaeva took the 12th place at the 2018 Olympics.
