The students took part in the category “The prototype of an electronic battery based eletrocar.”

The Kazakhstan students took part in the race of electrocars in Syngapore, BNews.kz reports with reference to the press service of Nazarbayev University.

According to the press service, the car was assembled by the students of the schools of engineering, science and technologies, humanitarian and social sciences.

“Our young and talented engineers took the 13th place out of all 26 in the category “The prototype of an electronic battery based eletrocar” at Shell Eco=Marathon Asia 2018 in Singapore!” the press service of the university reports.

The Asian stage of the program Shell Eco-Marathon was held from March 8 to 11, within the a four-day festival of ideas and innovations Make the Future Singapore. 120 student teams from 18 states of the Asian-Pacific region and the Middle East tested their electrocars in the race.

“The car NU Team successfully passed the technical inspection, and demonstrated not only energy-efficiency, but also the driver’s skill. The futuristic design of the car and its driver Tamila Talasbayeva were in the spotlight of the media. The team used different tactics of driving and each time improved its indicators of energy use,” says the message.
