Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan talked over water resources management
A session was chaired by Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda, First Deputy Minister, Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The 75th session of the Interstate Commission for Water Coordination in Central Asia took place in Dushanbe, NNAT Khovar.
The session was attended by representatives of Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.
It discussed the issues regarding the determination of the limits of water intakes of the countries, the modes of operation of the cascades of reservoirs and the forecasted modes of operation of the cascades of reservoirs for 2018-19 along the basins of the Syr Darya and Amu Darya rivers.
The sides discussed the participation of the members and executive bodies of the Interstate Commission for Water Coordination in Central Asia in designing an action plan to provide support to the states along the basin of the Aral Sea. The session's protocol is already signed.
The Commission was established on the base of the signing of an agreement between the Governments of Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan back in 1992.
