Kazakhstan Temir Zholy develops container transport on the route Chongqing-Duisburg-Chongqing
Over 400 containers with climate control were attracted to develop this route.
Chairman of the Board of Kazakh Temir Zholy Sauat Mynbayev discussed the state and prospects for cooperation to develop container transport with a delegation from the national Government of the Chinese city of Chongqing led by Vice Mayor Liu Gui-Ping, a press office of the Company informs.
The sides marked the positive growth in container transport from Chongqing to the EU states and back. So the growth has equaled 67% compared to a given period in 2017 over 10 months of 2018.
Over 400 containers with climate control were attracted to develop this route. Containers are regularly deployed to transport goods requiring temperature control, including transporting Hewlett-Packard electronics in container trains in the route Chongqing-Duisburg-Chongqing.
Concluding the meeting, the sides signed a contract to develop container transport.
Note, the volume of transit transport through Kazakhstan has made up 14.6 million tons of goods, of which 4.3 million tons has been transported from/to China, a 23% increase compared to a given period of last year (3.5 million tons).
