Kazakhstan temporarily caps import of Russian poultry
The limit was introduced following the attack of the avian influenza in a row of Russian regions.
Kazakhstan set a limit for importing of poultry, eggs, down and feather from the territory of Russia. Such a decision is explained by the attack of avian influenza in Orlovskaya, Rostovskaya and Nizhegorodskay regions, BNews.kz correspondent has learned from RIA Novosti.
"The Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan introduced temporary restrictions on the importation of live poultry and hatching eggs, downs and feathers, all poultry products that have not undergone heat treatment (at least 70 degrees Celsius) to the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, fodder and feed additives for birds, hunting trophies that have not undergone taxidermy treatment (feathered game), as well as used equipment for keeping, killing and cutting birds from the above areas
Avian influenza is extremely dangerous for humans, microorganisms are very contagious and provoke serious damage to the lungs. The virus can affect the liver, kidneys, brain.
