Kazakhstan’s car lovers buy the cars over 10 years old
The proportion of old cars increased from 59.3% to 61.5% over the year.
In the Republic of Kazakhstan, the number of registered cars over the year decreased from 0.2% to 3.8 million. It is notable that the reduction by 0.2% in the previous year was observed, energyprom.kz reports.
Almost two-thirds of cars fall on the cars over 10 years old. Over the year, their number increased from 3.5% to 2.4 million, the previous year an increase by 1.8% was also observed.
As a result, the share of old cars over more than 10 years old increased from 59.3% to 61.5% over the year.
The number of cars over 10 years increased in 14 regions of Kazakhstan.
The number of old cars increased considerably in Mangystau region – by 13.7% to 65.1 thousand. It is followed by Almaty – by 10.3%, to 227,5 thousand, and in Astana – by 7.5% to 99.3 thousand.
The regions where the number of cars over 10 years decreased are West Kazakhstan (by 1%, to 57.4 thousand) and Pavlodar region (by 2.2%, to 112.1 thousand).
Loans to buy used-cars are provided by 9 out of 32 second-tier banks of Kazakhstan. The age of the cars should not exceed 3-5 years for the cars manufactured in South Korea, CIS and China, and 10-15 years for other foreign cars.
