Kazakhstan’s company may insure 3 playing venue of 2018 Russia FIFA World Cup
The total amount of insurance is amount 140 million dollars (49.2 bilion tenge) for each stadium.
A number of measures to prevent provocations of aggressive fans in the country were taken at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The organizers decided to insure three playing venues of the 2018 Russia FIFA World Cup in Kaliningrad, Rostov-on-Don, and Yekaterinburg, the BNews.kz correspondent reports with reference to the press service of the Eurasia Insurance Company.
The reinsurance contract covers risks of damage to property due to strikes, popular unrest, illegal actions of third parties, as well as the risks of terrorism and sabotage.
In spite of a number of regulations which were introduced for a period of FIFA World Russia 2018 taking place in 11 cities in order to ensure fans’ security, there is always the risk of an unexpected turn of events.
Anticipating the fervor of fans from all over the world, this time the organizers decided to restrict the entry of aggressively-minded fans to the territory of the country, aiming at the organizing of clashes with the opponent's fans with further pogrom and riots in the city, for which the owners of shops and cars suffer first of all.
In words of a representative of the Russian internal affairs ministry, the organizers will enhance monitoring of the meetings and demonstrations in cities hosting matches. For this purpose, it is necessary to coordinate the organization of the events with the local authorities and FSC territorial bodies as well.
Kazakhstani Insurance Company Eurasian is one of the other world insurers. The total amount of insurance is 140 million dollars (49.2 billion tenge) for each stadium. The insurance coverage will last till August 1, 2018.
The mentioned stadiums have recently hosted the following matches: Yekaterinburg: Egypt - Uruguay, France - Peru, Japan - Senegal and Mexico - Sweden; Rostov-on-Don: Brazil - Switzerland, Uruguay - Saudi Arabia, Korea - Mexico, Iceland - Croatia and Belgium - Japan; Kaliningrad: Croatia - Nigeria, Serbia - Switzerland, Spain - Morocco, England - Belgium.
As the Russian partners announced FIFA insists that the insurer be financially stable, and has leading positions at the market. Small and unknown companies in the event of an insurance event are unlikely to be able to compensate for the damage in full, which could adversely affect the image of the championship and the country in whole.

By the way Eurasia IC which have already insured the property of Saint-Petersburg stadium during 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, reconstruction of the Luzhniki sports arena, Arena das Dunas football stadium in Brazil, as well as the football stadium Omnisport Stadium Omar Bongo Ondimba in the Gabonese Republic, is considering its participation in the reinsurance of all three stadiums in Russia.
