Kazakhstan’s haematologists project 5-year survival increase up to 60%
A roundtable meeting united of representatives of the ministry of health, haematologists, representatives of Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund JSC and RSE on REM “Republican Center for Health Development.”
According to BNews.kz correspondent, the Minister of Healthcare of Kazakhstan Yelzhan Birtanov chaired the meeting devoted to the improvement of haematological care for the adult population
Thus, the participants argued a roadmap for the development of haematological care, developed by the professional haematological community of Kazakhstan - Kazakhstan’s Society of Hematologists. The document includes personnel strengthening of service, medicinal maintenance of patients, early modern diagnostics of blood diseases.
Optimization means creating an effective model of haematological care for the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is based on the creation in the regions of a closed cycle of medical services for patients in one place, from diagnosis to rehabilitation.
The final result projected by haematologists as a result of joint actions is an increase in the 5-year survival rate to 60%.
In addition, Yelzhan Birtanov stressed the importance of acting on the part of professional communities, the need to increase the responsibility on the part of doctors, patients, managers as well, including regional health leaders in improving the quality and accessibility of core health services to the public.
