Kazakhstan’s maritime fleet increased unique ship

The 'Sunkar' ship is the newest specialized vessel built in Kazakhstan.

The ship "Sunkar" built by the order of the NMCS "Kazmortransflot" arrived at the Kuryk port in Aktau, of BNews.kz correspondent reports with reference to the site of the national maritime shipping company.

Sunkar ship is the last in series of three specialized ships that were built within Tengizshevrol future expanding.

Ships are designed for cargo transportation in shallow areas of the Northern Caspian. The multifunctional modern vessel has a length of 113 meters and a width of 21 meters, a maximum capacity of 5200 tons with a draft of up to 4 meters, which makes the vessel unique in the Caspian Sea.

The Sunkar ship was built in the Romanian city of Braila and accepted by the National Company Kazmortransflot on January 16, 2018.
