KZT500mln to be invested to construct tourist facilities in Balkhash
It is planned to construct 6 tourist facilities in the territory of the resort zone.
International specialists have designed a plan to develop the Balkhash resort zone, with the coastal zone in the area of 93 ha as the basis, BNews.kz correspondent reports referring to an official website of the Governor's Office of Karaganda region.
Old summer homes will be replaced with new tourist facilities in a 600-hectare area nearby Bertys and Karakol Bays, towards Belyy kamen.
Entrepreneurs have already started to install pipes for water supply and sewage in rest zones of the Barkovsk area. The project is being implemented at the expense of own funds.
"This year the reconstruction of a landing strip in Balkash has started. To this end, 11 billion tenges of investment have been allocated. Since the year's beginning, around 3 million have already been invested, that will result in regular flights, big planes," said Baizak Almaganbetov, the head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Agriculture.
At the present time, there are 9 rest zones with the capacity of 500 people on the coastline of the lake. It is planned to construct other 6 facilities, accommodating an additional 300 people. 500 million tenges are invested to implement the project. A rest zone will appear in the area of 'Belyy kamen' (White Stone) in the area of 2 000 square metres.
"The volume of tourist services provided this year is 130 million tenges. The number of touristed that have received services has exceeded 14 thousand people over this period," Baizak Almaganbetov added.
