Majilis Chairman: amended budget for 2018 will be an opportunity to start implementing President's instructions
Practical implementation of the instructions set by the head of state starts off adopting the draft Law.
Today, the Majilis has adopted the draft Law 'On amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan 'On the Republican Budget for 2018-20' under the chairmanship of the Chamber's speaker Nurlan Nigmatulin.
Summarizing the discussions, the Majilis speaker underlined that the adoption of the draft Law would give a start to the practical implementation of the head of state's instructions set during the opening of the 4th session of the Parliament, as well as in the recent Address to the people of Kazakhstan.
According to Nigmatulin, this will enable to lay a foundation for their further successful implementation in this year.
As the Majilis speaker said a total 84 billion tenges would be allocated to implement the Address and other instructions of the head of state, as well as 30 billion tenges - to develop newly formed Turkestan region and the city of republican significance - Shymkent.
"For instance, this year alone 5.6 billion tenges are channelled to support entrepreneurship under the 'Business Road Map' programme; 19 billion tenges - to develop the country's agro-industrial complex; 15 billion tenges - to provide the population with quality and affordable housing," said Nigmatulin.
The Majilis speaker underlined the importance to efficiently spend the funds allocated by the year's end by administrators of the budget programmes at both central and local levels.
"This is fundamental to the increase of the well-being and quality of life of our citizens, on which the head of state always focuses our attention," said Nurlan Nigmatulin.
