Majilis Chairman held meetings with speakers of Parliaments
The continuity of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev's orientation towards the development of friendly relations was outlined.
Nurlan Nigmatulin, the Majilis Chairman, held meetings with the speakers of Parliaments of Vietnam, Jordan, Iran, China, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, a press service of the Majilis informed, BNews.kz reports.
During the talks with Chairman of the National Assembly of South Korea Moon Hee-sang, the development of multilateral Kazakh-South Korean cooperation and interparliamentary relations as its main part were discussed.
According to Nurlan Nigmatulin, South Korea is one of the key strategic partners of our state in East Asia, and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev's visit to Seoul in 2016 opened opportunities to develop the bilateral partnership.
In turn, Moon Hee-sang notes that South Korea and Kazakhstan become even closer after each year. He thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the support to develop dialogue on the Korean peninsula.
Moon Hee-sang welcomed Kazakhstan's readiness to hold the 4th Meeting of the Speakers of Parliaments of the Eurasian states in Astana in the next year and expressed confidence in the Forum's high-level organization.
Nurlan Nigmatulin and Chairman of the Supreme Council of Kyrgyzstan Dastan Jumabekov and speaker of the Supreme Assembly of Uzbekistan Nuriddinjon Ismailov agreed to update interparliamentary cooperation.
The Majilis speaker outlined the continuity of the Kazakh President's orientation to develop friendly relations and to strengthen effective cooperation with neighbouring countries. It was noted during the talks, the results of the efforts and agreements between the heads of state made it possible to elevate relations between the states to a new level.
The theme of strengthening interparliamentary dialogue was also under discussion during Nurlan Nigmatulin's meetings with Deputy Chairman of the Nationa People's Congress Baima Chilin, Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân, Speaker of the Senate of Jordan Faisal Al-Fayez, as well as with Head of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran Ali Larijani.
