Matthias Dornfeld: Kazakhstan is key in strengthening cooperation of European Commission with C Asian states
It was started by Associate Professor of the Berlin Centre for Caspian Region Studies on the sidelines of the ASEM Summit.
On the margins of the ASEM Summit, a bilateral meeting of President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev took place, BNews.kz reports.
The meeting's main themes included further strengthening of the bilateral cooperation, as well as the creation of an economic forum 'EU-Kazakhstan' that will aim at increasing European investments in Kazakhstan.
Presently, the EU member states are the largest investors in Kazakhstan proving the attractiveness of Kazakhstan's market for foreign companies.
"Kazakhstan also plays the key role in strengthening the regional cooperation within the new strategy of the European Commission for Central Asian," said Associate Professor Matthias Dornfeld at the Berlin Centre for Caspian Region Studies.
