2019 will play a significant role in further strengthening the bilateral strategic partnership, says China's Ambassador to Kazakhstan
Mazhilis Chairman Nurlan Nigmatulin has met with China's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kazakhstan Zhang Xiao, the Chamber's press office informs.
According to Nurlan Nigmatulin's speech during the meeting, the bilateral interaction has reached the strategic partnership level owing to the friendship and regular contacts between the Kazakh and Chinese leaders, Nursultan Nazarbayev and Xi Jinping.
The Mazhilis Chairman has underlined that the historic state visits of the Kazakh President to China to June 2018, and China's Chairman to our country in 2013, when the creation of the Silk Road project was initiated, demonstrated the special nature of the relations between Kazakhstan and China.
Nurlan Nigmatulin emphasized the results of the joint efforts to integrate the Nurly Zhol programme with the Chinese Once Belt, One Road project, including large-scale infrastructure projects such as the dry port Khorgos, the Aktau port, the new railway corridor Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran, the international transit corridor West Europe-West China, and so on.
In turn, China's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Zhang Xiao has noted that the year 2019 will play a significant role in further strengthening the bilateral strategic partnership.
Having noted the dynamic nature of the relations between Kazakhstan and China, the Ambassador underlined that the integration of the Nurly Zhol and One Belt, One Road programmes is underway thanks to the visionary leadership of the Kazakh and Chinese leaders. According to the diplomat, 55 large-scale investment industrial projects are being carried out, as well as it is planned to launched new ones this year.
The Chinses Ambassador also mentioned the cultural and humanitarian cooperation, tourism among the prospective areas.
The Mazhilis Speaker has expressed confidence and importance to develop the interparliamentary interaction as key to bilateral relations. According to Nurlan Nigmatulin, the experience of Chinese parliamentarians in legislative support carried out in China, primarily, the innovation development reforms, including economic ones, is of practical interest.
