Mazhilis Chairman received Austrian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Gerhard Sailler
Today, Mazhilis Chairman Nurlan Nigmatulin has received Austrian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Kazakhstan Gerhard Sailler.
As Nurlan Nigmatulin has noted, Austria is a strategically important partner of Kazakhstan, and both States pay huge attention to the further enhancement of interaction between Astana and Vienna. Over 27 years of diplomatic relations, a reliable political dialogue as well as deep trade and economic ties have been established.
The Mazhilis Chairman has outlined that the official visits of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Austria and Federal President of Austria Heinz Fischer to Kazakhstan laid a profound foundation for developing multilateral cooperation.
Interparliamentary cooperation, according to Nurlan Nigmatulin, is also perspective and important direction to enhance bilateral partnership as well as “green” technologies, tourism, the culture and humanitarian sphere.
According to the Mazhilis speaker, regular meetings of committees, cooperation groups will facilitate the exchange of experiences in legislative activity.
In his turn, the Austrian Ambassador has noted that Kazakhstan is the leader in the region, good economic and cultural and humanitarian relations have been established between the two countries, underlining that it is in Kazakhstan such an important document for the OSCE as the Astana Declaration was adopted at the 2010 Summit. Speaking of a board range of Kazakh-Australian relations, the Ambassador has expressed hope for the further strengthening of interparliamentary cooperation.
