NADO: 2016 year was terrible for us

The director of NADO said that 2016 year was a nightmare for us,  BNews.kz correspondent reports.

"Such moments as fixing matches, doping and unfair judging soon will be in the UNESCO document”, Center Director, Maira Bakasheva said.

The main document that runs the national anti-doping centre is a World Anti-Doping Code, five international standards also the technical standards and protocols.

"We started to work in 2013, in April we began to take the first samples, among 3000 samples per 2013 40 samples were positive, 23 of them were detected at the international competitions that came from abroad.

In 2014, we have activated the job, began to take more samples at home and identified 21  positive results, and at the international -12. What is important for us abroad, firstly is thethe image of the country and secondly is the fines for federations. 2016  was terrible for us, we have identified 60 positive samples only in Kazakhstan”, Bakasheva said.

There are 34 laboratories accredited by the world anti-doping association which have the right to make doping control samples, results from other laboratories are not taken into consideration. Kazakhstan has accredited laboratory.

"Now we send all the samples to three countries in the world-Germany, Austria and Switzerland”, Bakasheva said.

One of the biggest problems of the various Federatiosn is a biological additives, as well as the famous mildronate.

Everyone knows that 2016 was crucial period for Kazakhstan relating sport.

Let`s remind that Kazakhstan biathlon team at the World Championship was suspected of doping because of the negligence of the doctors.

Then Kazakhstan Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Muhamediuly: the ministry received the notice from the World Anti-Doping Agency which stated that Kazakhstan athletes are clear.
