Nazarbayev and Medvedev discussed key aspects of cooperation
The head of state thanked Dmitry Medvedev for contributing to the development of the bilateral partnership.
The head of state held a meeting with Chairman of the Russian government Dmitry Medvedev, the Akorda reports.
The sides have discussed key aspects of cooperation between the two states. The head of state underlined a strategic nature of trusting and dynamically developing interaction between Kazakhstan and Russia.
"Recently I have held a meeting with President Vladimir Putin. Our bilateral relations are exemplary and we should keep them," said the President of Kazakhstan.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also dwelled on developing mutual cooperation within such international organizations as the EAEU, CSTO and CIS.
The Kazakh President outlined the Kazakh and Russian governments' role in expanding trade and economic relations and strengthening interregional ties, thanked Dmitry Medvedev for contributing to the development of the bilateral partnership.
In his tern, the Russian government's Chairman noted that the result of mutually beneficial cooperation was the increase in the volume of trade between Russia and Kazakhstan.
"Kazakhstan is Russia's strategic partner and ally. Our relations are long and profound, as evidenced by intensive contacts between the governments and business communities. We hold regular meetings within a year. This is encouraging, as full cooperation is impossible without such contacts," said Dmitry Medvedev.
