Nazarbayev and Putin addressed welcome speech to participants of Forum of CIS Intelligentsia
Nazarbayev expressed confidence that the Forum would establish new channels of interaction and cooperation.
Head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev welcomed participants of the 13th Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS. The welcome speech of the President of Kazakhstan was read by Secretary of State Gulshara Abdykalikova, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
“Dear participants of the Forum. Wholeheartedly welcome everyone on the hospitable Kazakh land. Participants of the Forum have gathered in the capital of Kazakhstan for the third time. It is symbolic that today’s meeting is held in the year of Astana’s anniversary. The agenda of the current Forum, that is held under the auspice of the Culture Year in the ICS, closely coincides with global challenges and common world tendencies, as well as with the tasks of modernization of public conscience,” says the welcome speech of the President.
The head of state underlined that the representatives of art and science by their work and creative activity strengthen mutual understanding between the peoples and cultures. According to the President, it is necessary to work out long-term directions of humanitarian cooperation between the states of the Commonwealth.
“Starting the Rukhani zhangyru programme, the country has defined competitiveness, pragmatism, preservation of national identity, knowledge cult, evolutionary development, openness of conscience as the key priorities of development of Kazakhstan’s nation. Under conditions of the global world, these universal values are close and clear to each person,” said the President.
In his address, the head of state expressed confidence that the Forum would contribute to further promotion of values of the peace, good-neighbourliness on the space of the CIS, as well as would allow to establish new channels of interaction and cooperation.
“Our common task is that by the accumulated experience, to establish long-term direction of humanitarian cooperation between our states by the means of dialogue,” the head of state said.
At the official opening of the Forum, the welcome speech of Vladimir Putin was read out by special representative of the President of Russia for international cultural cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy.
“Over many years, the Forum is important humanitarian event that is held within the CIS. Presenting wider opportunities for non-formal, interested discussion between representatives of science, culture, art and education, it has proved its demand and effectiveness. You are to agree a number of large-scale programmes and projects, many of which will be implemented during the Year of Culture held at the present time in the Commonwealth,” addressed Putin.
We note that on June 19-20 Astana holds the 13th Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS. More than 200 delegates from the CIS states take part in it.
