Nazarbayev arrives in Dushanbe to partake in Council of CIS heads of state session
The Kazakh President met with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
The President of Kazakhstan has arrived in the city of Dushanbe to take part in the Council of the CIS heads of state's session, taking place on September 28 this year, an official website of the Akorda reports.
After his arrival, the head of state held a meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
The meeting has discussed the current issues of bilateral relations and prospects of further intensification of cooperation in various economic sectors.
"Reliable relations have been established between our states. We had always helped and supported Tajikistan. Today we aim to strengthen our cooperation and develop mutual trade," said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
In addition, the Kazakh President outlined the necessity to take measures to further strengthen interaction between the states and to expand integration processes within the CIS.
In turn, the Tajik President noted the strategic nature of the relations established between the two states.
"Kazakhstan is one of the key strategic and economic partners of Tajikistan. Trade and economic relations between our states are expanding," said Rahmon.
The Tajik President highlighted Nursultan Nazarbayev's authority on the international scene and expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan for economic and political support provided by Kazakhstan.
