Nazarbayev awarded President of Tatarstan with Dostyk Order

The head of state held a meeting with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, a website of the Akorda reports.
At the talks, the sides discussed the current issues and further plans of relation development.
The head of state noted high rates of social and economic growth of Tatarstan and pointed out perspective directions of strengthening of bilateral relations.
The President of Kazakhstan underlined that the closest and reliable relations between Kazakhstan and Tatarstan had been established.
Nursultan Nazarbayev underlined attention to the importance to increase trade and economic, investment cooperation.
“The IT sphere is being developed well in your country. Our youth should study the experience. Also, interregional cooperation is established. The volume of mutual trade has increased to 700 million dollars and we need to reach the indication of 1 billion dollars,” said the head of state.
The President of Kazakhstan pointed out the possibility to create joint enterprises in the car building, defense and space industries.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the experience of Tatarstan in the sphere of refining oil products.
“All countries will switch to the use of alternative sources of energy. At the same time, in the next 50 years, oil and gas will be also in demand. Making the use of this period, we should create the processing industry,” said the head of state.
In addition, the President of Kazakhstan underlined attention to cooperation in agriculture.
“It is necessary to develop agricultural science. We can also supply meat to Russia. We have imported the best livestock to produce high-quality beef,” said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The head of state has also dwelled on the results of the development of transit and transport potential of Kazakhstan and the implementation of intrastructural programs.
In addition, the President of Kazakhstan paid attention to cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including the establishment of ties in education and medicine.
“I am glad by the fact that Kazan successfully develops. In the context of our joint interactions with Russia, Tatarstan plays one of the first places. We will develop further cooperation for the benefit of the two states,” said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Having noted the contribution of Minnikhanov to strengthening friendship, interaction and trust between the state, the head of state awarded the President of the Republic of Tatarstan with the Order of Dostyk Degree II.
In turn, Rustam Minninkhanov underlined the importance of effective bilateral cooperation in various sectors of economy.
“As of today, Kazakhstan is our main partner. The main thing is the experience of implementing successful projects,” said the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Also, Minnikhanov noted the paces of the growth of the education system in Kazakhstan and expressed the readiness to active the exchange process of students.
The President of Tatarstan also shared his impressions from the results of the participation of the republic in the international exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana.
“The exhibition EXPO-2017 passed at the highest level. You have created a powerful and modern platform. I believe that the opening of the AIFC on the base of the complex will be a bright event, and in the future we would like to work with our colleagues from Kazakhstan within the AIFC,” said Minnikhanov.
