Nazarbayev received Estonian PM
The Kazakh head of state thanked for his participation in the opening ceremony of Astana Hub.
The President of Kazakhstan received Estonian Prime Minister Jüri Ratas, the Akorda reports.
The sides have discussed prospects for strengthening the cooperation between the two states in digitalization and innovative technologies, as well as exchanged views on the development of trade and economic relations.
The head of state thanked the Prime Minister of Estonia for his personal participation in the opening ceremony of the Astana Hub international park of IT startups.
Nursultan Nazarbayev underlined the rich experience of Estonia in digital technologies.
In addition, the Kazakh President emphasized the necessity to enhance trade ties between the two states and dwelt on priority directions in the development of economic cooperation. So the head of state spoke of the infrastructure programmes that are underway, and facilities built within these programmes and the results of the projects to expand the transit and transport potential.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also noted the importance to establish cooperation in the processing and agrarian industries, pharmacy and other sectors of the economy.
In his turn, the Estonian Prime Minister thanked the Kazakh President for the hospitality and shared impressions during his first visit to Astana.
"We held constructive talks with Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev. It is my first visit to Kazakhstan. One can see the development of your country from infrastructure facilities of Astana," said Jüri Ratas.
Estonian Prime Minister expressed interest in implementing joint projects in digitalization and transport and logistics spheres, as well as in expanding the investment cooperation.
