Nur Otan Party updates Barrier-free Future project
Maulen Ashimbayev believes Kedergisiz keleshek (Barrier-free Future) project has to deliver benefits to people.
“Currently Nur Otan Party updates Barrier-free Future project within modernization,” first deputy chairman of the Nur Otan Party Maulen Ashimbayev stated during the meeting on the accessibility of social infrastructure facilities for persons with disabilities in Astana BNews.kz informs
Barrier-free Future project key goal is assistance in improving the quality of life of Kazakhstanis with special needs.
“It is gratifying that today many NGOs, public organizations, private individuals are actively engaged in supporting people with special needs. Nur Otan Party realizes this project for a long time. We are currently working on reviewing, strengthening, updating and activating this project so that it really helps people who need support from the party, state, and society as a whole," Maulen Ashimbayev added.
Besides, Asimbayev pointed out four priorities of the project: the first priority is the creation of a "barrier-free environment" for people with disabilities; the second priority is to promote inclusive education, where it is primarily about children; the third priority is employment assistance for people with disabilities so that they can earn and provide for themselves their own living conditions; the fourth one is the improvement of the country's legislation in this sphere.
On behalf of Nur Otan Party, the implementation of the project will be monitored by the Party’s Secretary Tamara Duissenova.
