Nursultan Nazarbayev visited new ice arena in Aktobe

The head of state visited the new city's ice arena built with the participation of Slovak investors as part of public-private partnership.
Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated young hockey players on behalf of all Aktobe citizens on the opening of the Ice Palace and left a commemorative inscription on the symbolic puck.
Also, the head of state visited the Aktobe industrial zone where he was informed on the projects being implemented, as well as the work to digitize and technologically upgrade the industrial enterprises, to develop the agro-industrial complex of the region.
During the visit, Governor of Aktobe region Bargibek Saparbayev reported on the main results of the region's social and economic development for 9 months of the present year.
"Over the reporting period, a positive trend in all main indications of social and economic development has been maintained. The industrial growth made up 105.7%. In total, products for up to 1.3 trillion tenges have been output from January to September. The gross domestic product for agriculture was 167.3 billion tenges or 104%. In this months, it is expected to bring 85 thousand sq.m. of housing into use, that is by 22.1% more compared to the same period of the past year. Over 9 months up to 318 billion tenges of investment have been attracted," said Saparbayev.
In addition, the region's head presented a report on the implementation of the main national programmes, including the Five Social Initiatives.
Having heard the report, Nursultan Nazarbayev underlined the importance of the effective implementation of the Address to the people of Kazakhstan 'Growth of Kazakhstan's Welfare: Increasing Income and Life Standards' and gave a number of specific instructions to increase the average wages in the region, repairs of local roads and to improve the environmental situation, particularly in the city of Aktobe.
