Oil production at Kashagan deposit exceeded its planned amount by 2.2 million tons
The overall annual oil production capacity stood at 90 million 360 thousand tons in Kazakhstan, increasing by 4.8% compared with 2017.
In 2018, oil production at the Kashagan deposit was 13.22 million tons, exceeding by 2.2 million tons over the planned figure of 11 million tons, Sputniknews.kz has informed.
Another Kazakh oil deposit Tengiz extracted 28.6 million tons, exceeding by one million tons. The production plans at the Karachaganak deposit were also fulfilled, amounting to 12.2 million tons.
“Other oil deposits’ planned figures were reached, including the deposits with a natural decline in production, especially at the Kumbol group,” they have informed in a press office of the Ministry of Energy.
