Over 100 cameras installed in Baikonur
Works on technical improvement of the city block are expected to be completed until this yearend.
The technical improvement of the Baikonur city’s block is continued. Thus, according to Kazinform INA, more than 100 remote cameras.
1998 meters of boom, a fence and a visor from spirals of reinforced barbed tape at a distance of 3,919 meters, a metal tray on the fence for laying the cable with a total length of 5,193 meters have installed for six months of 2018. Besides an installation of 102 video cameras was carried in city out as well. The total costs for the technical improvement of the city’s block in the first half of 2018 amounted to over 36 million rubles.
The works are carried out in frames of Secure city municipal target-oriented program, approved by the decree of the head of administration and in order to provide a special regime for the safe operation of the city, defined by the interstate agreement between the Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on the status of the city of Baikonur, the procedure for the formation and status of its executive bodies, the press service of the city administration said.
Secure city goals prevention of unauthorized penetration into the territory of the city of Baikonur, suppression of attempts to commit a terrorist act and minimization of its possible consequences, liquidation of the threat of a terrorist attack on the territory of the city, the press service stressed. Works on the technical strengthening of the city block are planned to be completed by the end of this year.
