Over 170 enterprises of Kazakhstan obtain the right to export agricultural products
Much of work to export domestic products has started in the last six months of 2018.
171 enterprises of Kazakhstan have been added to the register of foreign states (except for the EEU register), which have the right to export agricultural products, Bnews.kz correspondent reports. The First Vice Minister of Agriculture, Arman Yevniyev, told at a meeting of the Government on the preliminary results of the implementation of the national programmes of the agro-industrial complex.
"For instance, 153 enterprises have obtained the right to export various sorts of products of the agro-industrial complex to China, 17 fish processing plants are allowed to export fish products to the European Union," said Yevniyev.
Much of work to export domestic products has started in the last six months of 2018. Over 11 months of 2018, lamb exports have totaled 14.5 thousand tons. According to the First Vice Minister of Agriculture, the figure will increase in the next year. An entrepreneur from the Turkestan region exported approximately 100 thousand tons of lamb.
"Almost half (45.2%) of the exported lamb has occurred in the Turkestan region. And we are certain that we will overfulfill the planned 15 thousand tons of lamb by the end of the year," said Arman Yevniyev.
The World Organisation for Animal Health has submitted a file to divide the territory of nine regions of Kazakhstan free of foot-and-mouth disease without vaccination into five zones. This will enable to simplify global trade including the agro-industrial complex.
The Ministry of Agriculture submitted a file to obtain the classical swine fever-free country status and an application for self-declaration to obtain the African swine fever- and highly pathogenic flu-free country status.
According to Arman Yevniyev, exports of products of the agro-industrial complex have risen by 28.3% over 9 months, and exports of processed products - by 10%.
