Kazakhstan FM suggests to exempt from registration OECD and EU citizens
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Erlan Idrissov, speaking at a meeting of the government of Kazakhstan, suggested to resolve automatic registration when crossing border to owners of investor visas, BNews.kz correspondent reported.
It is known that since January 1, 2017 the countries of OECD, EU countries plus Malaysia, Monaco, Singapore and the Emirates acquire the right of visa-free entry into Kazakhstan for up to 30 days.
"We have many complaints concerning migration regime. Askar Uzakpayevich (Mamin - vice-prime minister), on a working group which you head this question was in detail discussed. I would like to make specific proposal: to provide or resolve automatic registration when crossing border to citizens of the countries which receive a visa-free regime since January, 2017 and for owners of investor visas. We consider that it considerably will improve business and investment climate in our country. To exempt these citizens from registration even in case of absence at them the investor visa," Erlan Idrissov offered.
