Majilis ratified Agreement of CIS countries on emergency liquidation

The Majilis of parliament of Kazakhstan approved the bill of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On ratification of the Agreement on cooperation of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations" at the plenary session of chamber, correspondent reports.

"The agreement is signed during the meeting of recommendation of heads of states in the settlement of Burabay on October 16, 2015. Implementation of this agreement will promote the organization of the collateral coordinated actions, in case of emergency in the territory of one of the agreement’s countries. Ratification of the agreement will allow to exchange experience in the sphere of monitoring and forecasting of emergency, preparation of the population for actions, in case of their threat and origin, to train specialists in the field of civil protection in educational institutions of the state parties, to hold for the purpose of increase in efficiency of protection of the population on a regular basis joint thematic conferences, seminars, doctrines, trainings, to submit within the shortest possible time the help in case of emergency liquidation in the territory of the parties," Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Kalmukhanbet Kasymov said.

According to the minister, the bill will not entail negative consequences and its acceptance will allow to reduce risks of natural disasters and to minimize negative consequences from emergency of natural and technogenic nature in the territory of the parties.
