Real incomes of Kazakhstan citizens have increased – Kazakh Minister off National Economy
The average monthly wage is 152.8 thousand tenges for the current period.
Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Timur Suleimenov told about the unemployment level and wages for the first half-year of 2018, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
“The high productive activity has positively reflected on the indicators of the labour market. From the beginning of the present year, 178.7 thousand people have been employed. In May of the present year, the unemployment level remained and was 4.9%,” said Timur Suleimenov at the session of the Government.
He noted that the wages gradually increase.
“In January-May, the average monthly wage has reached 152.8 thousand tenges and increased in real terms by 0.8%. Real income for January-April of the present year have increased by 1.2%,” said the Minister.
“In general, I would like to note that taking into account the sustainable and qualitative first half year, there is a potential to provide the growth of GDP – 4+. To this end, it is necessary for us to keep the economy development at 3.9% in the third quarter and 4.0% in the fourth quarter. The development of economic procedures are sustainably maintained in the background of the balanced growth. Almost in all segments of the economic activity, the positive dynamics are maintained,” said the head of the Ministry of National Economy.
According to the Minister, the growth of GDP following the first half year has reached 4.1%.
We noted that at the session of the Government, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Sagintayev called on the regions to intensify the construction of dormitories within the instruction ‘The five social initiatives’.
