Russia sent to Kazakhstan military aircraft for CSTO training

Military personnel of the mountain motorized rifle brigade of the Central Military District (CMD) deployed in the Republic of Tyva has arrived in Kazakhstan for participation in the international trainings of peacekeeping forces of the CSTO "Indestructible brotherhood-2017", the website of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation reports, BNews.kz reported.

From the Russian side about 400 servicemen take part in the doctrine and 80 pieces of equipment, including a link of the transport and assault Mi-8AMTSh helicopters and steam of SU-25 attack planes are involved.

Main objectives of the trainigs are strengthening of mutual understanding and cooperation between the peacekeeping contingents of member states of the CSTO, increase in skills of commanders and headquarters of all degrees in work on preparation of peacekeeping operation and management of forces and means when performing peacekeeping tasks.

The trainigs in which divisions of armed forces of Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan take part will be held from October 16 to October 20 on grounds Iliy and Shoshkala in the southeast of Kazakhstan.
