She wont be mine: Denis Ten's final journey
Denis Ten died from stab wounds on July 19.
Almaty said ‘goodbye’ to the prize-winner of the Olympic Games, which was brutally murdered by the attackers on July 19, the correspondent of BNews.kz reports.
The final journey of star of the Kazakh sports was accompanied by the song She wont be mine, which Denis Ten wrote shortly before his death. The people gathered in the Baluan Sholak sports palace applauded with tears in their eyes.
To say goodbye to the champion came about ten thousand Kazakhstanis. All of them expressed their grief to the relatives and friends of the Olympic Games prize-winner and assured that this is an irreplaceable loss.
During the farewell to Denis, none of those present could not hold back tears. Not everyone could enter the farewell hall. Many did not have time to say goodbye to the sportsman and waited outside.
Separating sorrow Kazakhstanis unanimously assured that for each of them Denis's death became a personal tragedy, because he was the Champion of the whole country and a man with a capital letter.
The coffin, covered with the flag of Kazakhstan, was carried out by officers. They also carried medals of the Champion.
Denis Ten will be buried in Druzhba village near Almaty.
Earlier, Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly and boxers Gennady Golovkin and Serik Sapiyev expressed their condolences. They noted that a tragic death of Denis Ten is a great loss for the whole country. Many public figures, sportsmen and just ordinary people, the whole world express deepest condolencies to the parents of the Kazakh figure skating star.
