Shumenov’s next possible opponent known

The coach of former professional world champion in who weight classes Beibut Shumenov, Vladimir Tkachenko, told his opinion on the results of the bout between the Kazakh boxer with Turk Hizni Altunkaya, which was the main event of the boxing evening in Astana and ended with an early victory of the host, BNews.kz reports.
“Beibut accomplished his task perfectly. In the first round he kicked his liver and the referee made the count. And after that Beibut Shumenov lamost during the entire bout pressed his opponent, and did not let the Turk boxer acting. Shumenov was well prepared, therefore the opponent did not have any chances. And, as you saw the referee stopped the bout,” said the coach in an interview to Sports.kz.
Besides, Vladimir Tkachenko dis not rule out that Beibut Shumenov can hold his next bout against the winner of the final bout of the World Boxing Super Series in the heavyweight division between Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk and Russian Murat Gassiev.
“I think that Beibut will face more serious opponents in next bouts. I do not exclude that in the near future we could have a bout with the winner of the bout between Usyk and Gassiev. We will be ready for it, as well as keep going forward,” said Vladimir Tkachenko.
We add that the bout between WBC and WBO cruiserweight world champion Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk and IBF and WBA world champion Russian Murat Gassiev is held on July at the Olimpiyskiy Sports Complex in Moscow.
We note that Beibut Shumenov has had a victory over Turk boxer Hizni Altunkaya as part of the boxing evening in Astana, so he had the 18th win in his boxing career and returned a WBA title.
